In the meantime, I encourage you to check Google Maps regularly for new electrologists opening in the area, and to join waitlists with multiple electrologists so you can be contacted as soon as availability opens up.
If your unwanted hair is: 1) not in a hormonal area for women (i.e. legs, underarms, bikini/Brazilian, arms), 2) not a part of a medically necessary permanent hair removal process for surgery preparation, and 3) is brown or black dark and thick hair (not peach fuzz), then laser hair reduction may be a good option to pursue while you wait for an electrolysis opening. I do not recommend laser hair reduction on hormonal areas for women (i.e. chin/neck, upper lip, cheeks, chest, stomach, sideburns, nipples, back), on peach fuzz, on people with deeper skin tones, or on people with blond, white, grey, or red hair, due to risk of paradoxical hypertrichosis (an increase in hair growth). That site has a fantastic guide at the bottom titled “Are you a Laser candidate?” that I encourage you to check out and discuss with your laser hair reduction provider.
